fall favs // top three favorite outfits

I love me some New England Fall weather!! I’ve been on Pinterest looking for outfit inspiration and I wanted to share my top three favorite fall outfits!

LOOK #1 // blanket scarf + vest

details

blanket scarf // Charlotte Russe (similar one)

vest // Lands End (they no longer have it! But check their vests out here)

sweater // TjMaxx (similar one)

jeans // Gap Factory

booties // Old Navy

bag // American Eagle (all out but here is a similar bag!)

Who doesn’t love a big cozy blanket scarf?! I’ll admit, this was a complete impulse buy, but I love it! The colors are not only perfect for fall, but pretty much the color scheme of my wardrobe in general. The ivory sweater is a cable knit sweater from TjMaxx; the perfect staple. My down vest has lasted me the past couple of years, so not only is it warm, it’s durable! And I wear a lot of neutrals, so brown matches everything. My jeans and boots are from Old Navy, where I’d say about 60% of my clothes are from. They never disappoint! Lastly, my bag is from American Eagle. I love it because it is a mix of black and brown leather, and has a cute design. A little different than your typical oversized leather purse.

LOOK #2 // fur vest

vest // Forever 21 (similar one)

black tee // Banana Republic (similar one)

jeans // Old Navy

booties // Old Navy

bag // Target (similar one)

While my vest and black tee are from those stores listed above, I actually bought them at Plato’s Closet in Dedham, MA. I paid only $10 for the vest and $14 for the tee! I love the fur vest because it is a statement piece all on its own. And who couldn’t use a black long sleeve tee in their closet. My jeans are the perfect dark wash skinny, and the booties are the same as the first outfit.

LOOK #3 // green jacket + bean boots

details

jacket // J.Crew

sweater // Tjmaxx (similar one)

jeans // Gap Factory

boots // Tjmaxx (similar one)

watch // Target

I am obsessed with this J.Crew field jacket!! Not only my favorite color, but I love the gold details. I paired it with my favorite cable knit sweater and jeans (same as in look #1) and my (fake) bean boots from Tjmaxx! Classic New England look for sure. My watch matches pretty much everything in my wardrobe due to the greenish beige wristband and rose gold face.

There you have it friends! My top three favorite fall outfits that consist of neutrals + classic New England style. As you can tell, I do a lot of shopping at Old Navy, Tjmaxx, Target and J. Crew. I’m all about being stylish but without spending an arm and a leg.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend!

{OOTD} Favorite Jacket & Statement Necklace

As I sit here waiting out this blizzard here in New England, I thought I’d share an outfit of the day from our last snow storm a couple days ago. A friend and I decided to go out and take some pictures while it was snowing, and it made for such beautiful photos! The snow is a gorgeous background.

Army green is one of my favorite colors to wear, and I love my military jacket from Old Navy. I paired it with with a cream sweater, flannel button down, a statement necklace, and riding boots. A very “Clarissa” outfit. And the best part? All these pieces were great prices!

Jacket // Old Navy

Sweater // Forever 21

Flannel // J.Crew

Statement Necklace // J.Crew

Boots // Lauren Conrad (LC Khols)

Jeggings // American Eagle

If you are caught in Juno like myself, stay warm! If not, be grateful you don’t have to shovel.

{OOTD} Lucky Brand top find!

I found a Lucky Brand top from Buffalo Exchange for only $17! I love it because I don’t have a lot of red in my wardrobe and I love the style of the shirt. And it’s Lucky Brand so what’s not to love!

jeans // American Eagle

sandals // Marshalls

{OOTD} simple & basic

This is a simple and basic outfit and I love it. It’s perfect for a day of errands or a day at work. It also works perfect with my favorite J.Crew necklace 🙂

{OOTD} Summer // Fall Transition

IMG_0748

Even though I wore this outfit during the summer (so sad right?!) this outfit could most definitely be used as a transition outfit into the fall! This particular day it just happened to be rainy and cool, but it’d be great for when the cooler weather sets in for good. I’m so obsessed with the jacket!! I’ve wanted a jacket like this for so long and I FINALLY found one I loved at Old Navy! It’s definitely going to get a lot of use this fall/winter!

{OOTD} I FOUND A BLACK ROMPER!

I am very excited to inform you all that I have indeed (after over a year of searching for one) found a black romper!!!!!

If you read my post a little while back about my scalloped romper, you would see that I was still looking for a black one, and as I was shifting though a TJMaxx a couple towns over while my friend from New Orleans was visiting, I found this adorable one! Crochet detailing, buttons, flowy material…I LOVE IT! And it’s casual, and it goes perfectly with my fedora (pretty much the entire reason why I wanted a black romper in the first place).

It’s the little things people.

jeans // American Eagle

shoes // Forever 21

I love this outfit! It’s classy, girly, and hey, it’s blush pink (my favorite!!!). The top is a chiffon material with detailing on the shoulders. It’s a little on the longer side, so I decided to tuck it in with a belt. The nude flats match perfectly with a little rose gold detail in the middle of the bow on the toes. I wore this to work the other day.

If you haven’t noticed, I laugh a lot in my pictures because I legit laugh at anything and everything. Pretty sure my sister was making fun of me as this picture was being taken 🙂

{OOTD} classic maxi

Maxi skirts and dresses are perfect in every way. Not only are they stylish, but they’re comfy, easy, and they look good on just about anyone! I bought this black maxi skirt from TJMaxx for only $20 and it’s so comfy! I love how I can dress it up with a cute statement necklace, or go more casual with just a simple tee for work. It’s perfect for all seasons too; not too heavy for spring and summer, but can definitely be transitioned into my fall/winter wardrobe.

{OOTD} romper love

I have been on the hunt for the perfect romper for a very long time. I originally set out for a black one (I have a fedora with black trim that would go perfect!) but I haven’t had much luck. But as I was browsing TJMaxx, I found this scalloped (!!!!!) navy one that I fell in love with! It’s one of my favorite colors and its scalloped..I mean c’mon, what’s not to love?! It’s perfect in that it can be dressed up or dressed down.

To dress it up, I added a J.Crew statement necklace and white wedges, which I got for $6 at the Christmas Tree Shop! Can’t beat that price.

To dress it down, I paired it with a denim jacket, long chain necklace, and leather sandals. It’s very versatile!

sandals // Marshall’s

This romper gives me a great excuse to get dressed up and go into Boston with friends, am I right? 😉

PS As mentioned before, I still REALLY want a black romper. I just don’t want the shorts part to be super duper short, so if any of you lovely bloggers/readers find one, let me know!

{OOTD} cropped & high rise

I am LOVING my new jeggings from AE. They are the high waisted dark wash jegging. I originally went in to try their new sky high jegging but I thought the threading and zipper were awkwardly too long, so I opted for the regular high rise jegging. There’s not much of a difference, other than where it hits at the waist (and the length of the zipper). The sky high reached just below my belly button, and the ones I bought hit a little lower. They are also the most comfortable pants I have ever owned. So everyone needs to go out and buy a pair NOW. (I might be a little biased, because I really only buy my jeans from American Eagle, but regardless…GO BUY SOME!) I also love my cropped gold and pink strip tee from Aerie. I got it for only $10 too! And brown leather sandals are a must in any wardrobe because they legit go with everything. I love these ones because they have gold buckles and I’m a big fan of gold 🙂

Also, can we just take a moment to acknowledge how cool this background is?! The photographer in me was freaking out inside when my friend and I found it the other day. It’s a brick wall with chalk on the side of an elementary school. Definitely coming back to it in the future!
